I cut myself shaving this morning

May 30, 2006

There is a sort of release in the spirit when I’m out on the golf course. Besides being outdoors and swingin a tin club at a little ball, there’s a sort of peace out there with all the greenery. A time for reflecting back on the week before or just simply to get away from the problems back at home. It’s really nice to get away from that and all those things I do back at the office, even the distractions that come into play from getting hooked on looking for stuff about . I guess what I’m really trying to say is that I’d much rather get hooked on golf than anything, and maybe I need to revisit that more often since it brings some good peace.

No Kidding

Using a computer is much like communicating with an individual. If you do something wrong on the keyboard, the computer will return a beep or something to tell you that you did it the wrong way or need to find some other function to do it. It has rules and limitations just like other people, yet it can possess infinite intelligence when used by a person in the right way. I just really need to figure out more than the ability to turn the computer on and off and log into my blog to write stuff down and I will have this thing licked. Hehe.

Chatting over the fence

May 30, 2006

Well, after an absolutely horrible week at work, Friday finally arrived. TGIF! I couldn’t wait for a relaxing weekend to recharge the batteries. I made it through a quiet Friday and rode the bus home. I knew Saturday would be a fun (although a bit stressful) day because my youth basketball team was scheduled to play their first tournament game. Saturday started out peacefully until my son asked “when are we going to start putting in the wood floors”? Ugh! Then, he started ripping out the old carpeting, which meant I would not be doing any research into my new internet project on that I’d hoped for. Sure enough, I worked all weekend putting in a new floor and I have the blisters to prove it!Oh well,maybenextweekend.);

Have you ever gotten stuck on what to cook? That happened to me today. I guess I’ve been stuck on eating the same thing over and over, I guess I’ve lost all the possibilities that life and food have to offers. It’s sad really getting caught up in this rut. I need to get away maybe. In fact, I’ve been in this rutt lately on continually search for one topic on my computer such as 1949 thru 1951 ford v8 flathead parts and I cannot keep getting enough of it. I must be OCD or something because the same thing is happening with my food as is with my searching habits. Oh well, maybe I will just snap out of it once day.

My mate keeps breaking up with me and then wanting to get back together like I’m some yo-yo. I think NOT! Which reminds me again over and over how wonderful it’s to play with my computer because it would never treat me like this. I type in whatever search I want, like say Aboriginal Dot Paintings, I get what I want. It does not talk back to me. It does not want to drop me like a bad habit. My computer is perfectly keen to just appease my every liking and serve my every need. Again, with no backtalk, no squeemish misunderstandings, just catering to my every need. It’s just really awesome this relationship with my computer and I. And while sitting here thinking about this now, I’m almost considering havingan exclusiverelationshipwithmy computer alone. Either that, or find myself someone who will not treat me like a yo-yo. Okay, I’m getting back to this great relationship with my puter, as I call it.
